200 m² detached house · alongside an oil boiler

SunBit installed the first Bitcoin Boiler in Kotka. The 200 m² detached house's old oil boiler got a new companion. The old oil boiler did not need to be removed — the Bitcoin Boiler was installed alongside the existing system as a hybrid solution and works well that way. The outdoor unit enables summer cooling and better use of solar over-production.

180 m² detached house · replacing district heating

District heating in a 180 m² detached house was replaced by mining. In addition to the Bitcoin Boiler, SunBit installed a separate hot-water tank to secure domestic hot water. SunBit manages the system remotely — that way we ensure the system stays operational and can fix any issues remotely.

3000 m² industrial hall · alongside oil and air-to-water heat pump

In 2024 SunBit installed Bitcoin heating in a larger 3000 m² industrial hall.

Mining waste heat replaced energy consumption from the old oil heating and the air-to-water heat pump. The property is now primarily heated by mining and the heat pump.

The site's 30 kW solar array also benefited from the investment. The company now gets a much better return on its over-production.

Did you know? Solar over-production sells back to the grid for an average of just €0.05 / kWh. Mining can up to triple the value of that over-production.

Old manor house · replacing wood heating

An old rural manor's wood-fired heating was replaced with a Bitcoin Boiler.

The system was installed alongside the wood boiler and the existing 1500 L tank.

It keeps the tank at 50–60 °C, heating both the hydronic loop and domestic hot water.

The property is now primarily heated by mining.

First international project, 2025

SunBit's first international project went to Lekkum in the Netherlands in 2025.

The system replaced expensive gas heating and now warms a larger commercial property. A local install team fitted the Bitcoin Boiler smoothly and easily.

SunBit also sells the equipment on its own without installation, if the customer wants to handle the installation themselves with SunBit's guidance.
